Lyman Anderson,
Dane County Zoning Board
210 Martin Luther King Jr .Blvd .
Madison, Wisconsin 53709
Dear Mr . Anderson,
We are writing this letter because I think it is important that
you understand the feelings that we and a number of neighbors
here share regarding the proposed zoning change for Jack and
Elaine Swenson.
When the proposal came before our Springdale Town Planning
Commission, it was unanimously rejected because it very clearly
did not adhere tothe present Land Use Plan or to the spirit of
the new Plan that is being drafted .
To put two additional houses in a small area creates the
possibility of environmental hazards as well as the obvious
aesthetic objections .
One of the biggest concerns in the local survey questionnaire
that was sent out to landowners was to retain the rural
atmosphere by cutting the density of houses . Not limiting
houses, but planning wise usage . In this case the Plan and
survey have been totally by-passed and precedence given to
personal considerations .
I find this difficult to write because I know Jack and Elaine
very well and am a neighbor, but feel that there must be limits .
To build two houses in less than two acres is really uncalled
for !
Sincerely yours,
David M.
