This proposed horse boarding and riding stable is immediately west of the central urban <br /> service area in Westport. <br /> While the use is reasonably compatible in the area, we note that the intermittent stream flowing from the <br /> west to the southeast on the parcel drains into the Sixmile Creek and then into Lake Mendota. <br /> A site plan should be required which shows the barn and paddock areas, parking areas and horse trails. <br /> there needs to be an erosion control plan to protect the waterway from the adverse impacts of horse trails <br /> and other sources of runoff. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT.
