fir{/ <br /> T U E 1 = 1 $ 7°� `� 4),(000 F ''i 1 <br /> diet <br /> 41044 <br /> c <br /> *(4f. <br /> Dane County Zoning Department <br /> RE: Petition #5758 <br /> This is my statement to be read as part of the public hearing on Oct. 12, 1993. <br /> I, Sherry Simmons, of 7161 Frenchtown Road, Belleville, wish to go on record as <br /> strongly opposing Zoning Petition #5758 RH3 to LC1 for the following reasons: <br /> 1 . l Ilve directly across Frenchtown to the south of the property being <br /> discussed, and I do not desire commercial zoning anywhere near my <br /> rural home. <br /> 2 . Harold McDonald has not been specific in his reasons for needing <br /> more commercial zoning than he already has in that quadrant. I feel, <br /> therefore, that Mr. McDonald Is possibly engaged In a type of <br /> "speculation"-changing zoning in order to entice commercial buyers <br /> for his property. I am completely against this. <br /> 3. It is entirely possible that the LC1 zoning would result in higher <br /> property taxes for those of us In the Immediate area. <br /> 4 . A small commercial zoning change opens the door for more commercial <br /> zoning changes, as is evidenced by this request by Mr. McDonald. <br /> In summary, I am totally opposed to commercialization of any property within view of my <br /> home. Furthermore, I do not feel Mr. McDonald has made a clear enough or strong <br /> enough case to support his petition for a zoning change. I am not convinced there is <br /> present need for LC1 Zoning as requested.
