This proposed glass installation contractor business is in an agricultural preservation area of <br /> the Town of Oregon. <br /> This particular area is dominated by low-density residential development with houses on virtually all of the <br /> parcels shown on the map. <br /> The adopted town/county policy relevant to this site is: <br /> "Only commercial uses clearly related to or compatible with agricultural production should <br /> be permitted in the Agricultural District." <br /> It is certainly debatable whether the glass business is related to agricultural production. There is probably <br /> more of a land use concern for starting a business in a rural residential area, where traffic and other <br /> business related activities conflict with the residential neighbors as they have in several other areas of the <br /> county. <br /> ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT.
