(e) Describe any material discrepancy between the location of the corner as restored or reestablished
and the location of that corner as previously restored or reestablished by distance and direction. Show
the discrepancy in the sketch on sheet 1.
Based on the tie sheet by George Weir dated July 10, 1989 and some adjacent surveys, the railroad spike
previously 25.50'easterly of the current monumented corner has been used as the corner. Newer surveys
have used the existing monument and some older surveys note a record and measured distance between the
corner locations.
(f)Was the corner restored through acceptance of(1)an obliterated evidence location, or(2)a found
perpetuated location?
A found perpetuated location.
(g&h)Was the corner reestablished through proportionate methods? If so, show the method, including
the directions and distances to other public land survey corners used as evidence or used for
proportioning in determining the corner location?
Not Applicable.
(i) List all previous Monument Records found, previously filed for the subject corner, including
monument types set or found, surveyor, and date of survey.
September 25, 1984 -George Weir found a railroad spike in the centerline of USH 51 in line with a fence to the
south. There was no tie sheet on record at the Dane County Surveyor's office. The position of the railroad
spike fits the direction of the north line of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 10 as reference to CSM No. 3125. Weir
accepted the position of the railroad spike as the best evidence and provided reference ties.
July 10, 1989 -George Weir found an aluminum monument at the surface of USH 51. After finding a cast
plug at the NE and NW corners of Section 10, this corner was searched for and was not found by digging
through the pavement and gravel to the original concrete pavement 1' below the existing surface. Reference
to the corner position is recorded by Hintze, field book 58, pg 9 and Vol. 5 pg 518 of county survey records.
The corner was reestablished at a point on line between the found alum. mon. corner previously representing
the corner and the NE corner at a prorated distance between the NW and NE corners. The location fits the
subdivision of Section 10 as reference to old notes. An aluminum monument was set at the reestablished
position and a railroad spike at the position of the found monument which was removed during digging.
December 16, 1994 -George Weir found an aluminum monument in a metal hand hole which was set to
represent the corner after the reconstruction of USH 51. No tie sheet was found showing how the monument
was offset and reestablished for the reconstruction of USH 51. The corner was restored through acceptance
of a found perpetuated location with no known discrepancies and referenced to ties accordingly.
April 17, 2003- Richard Palmer found the Aluminum Monument and the ties shown previously on the Weir tie
sheet dated December 16, 1994 are intact.
April 5, 2004 - Richard Palmer found the aluminum cap in concrete monument and the ties shown previously
on the Weir tie sheet dated December 16, 1994 are intact.
October 24, 2013 -John Krebs found an aluminum monument , no tie sheet of record. Krebs found two ties
from a tie sheet by Weir dated July 10, 1989 and 2 new reference ties were set. The original aluminum cap
was reset with a drill hole in the aluminum cap.
(j) I, Kevin C.
