If so, show the method, including
the directions and distances to other public land survey corners used as evidence or used for
proportioning in determining the corner location?
Not Applicable.
(i) List all previous Monument Records found, previously filed for the subject corner, including
monument types set or found, surveyor, and date of survey.
May 9, 1969 -An unnamed tie sheet shows the section corner being set as a PK nail set 3.90' north of the
crack in center of USH 51 pavement.
December 13, 1974 -George Weir found a PK nail 3.80' north of the centerline of USH 51 and tied the
monument to existing features.
May 5, 1986 -George Weir found a railroad spike at the Northeast corner of Section 9 and one of the
reference ties from the tie sheet completed on December 13, 1974. The location shows the spike to be 3.8'
north of the centerline of USH 51. Three additional reference ties were set.
July 10, 1989 -George Weir found a railroad spike at the surface of the present pavement of USH 51 as
shown on the previous tie sheet. Notes by Phil Hintze show a plug set in the concrete pavement. Weir dug
through the existing pavement and gravel and found the cast plug with cross at the surface of the original
concrete pavement 0.5' below the present surface. The plug was accepted as representing the corner and an
aluminum monument was set at the surface over the plug and reference ties were set. A railroad spike was
set 4.00 feet north of the monument at the location of an existing railroad spike prior to the roadway
excavation.
October 24, 2013 -John Krebs found an aluminum monument in the concrete and states no tie sheet of
record. Four new ties were set. The original aluminum monument cap was reset due to road reconstruction
and a drill hole in the aluminum cap was set.
(j) I, Kevin C.
