Michael Clayton established the 1/4 corner by extending the East line of Pleasant Hill
Heights Subdivision to the centerline of U.S.H. 51. The South point on this plat line was established by a 2"
iron pipe at the SE corner of said plat also being the center 1/4 corner of Section 7. The SE corner of Lot 23,
Pleasant Hill Heights, was used as the North point of the extended plat line. The North-South position was
established by measuring North the recorded plat distances from the NE corner of Lot 98, Pleasant Hill
Heights. He then extended a line on the recorded bearing N89°25'10"W to intersect with the previously
described East plat line. The monumented location is less than 1' South of where the surveys to the North
would place the corner. The distance to the NW corner of Section 7 is exactly the same as that on the original
goverment map dated October 1, 1836, 2655.18' or 40.23 chains. A railroad spike was set at the location.
November 30, 1988 -George Radl found a brass monument that was reset by DOT in concrete pavement and
set reference ties accordingly.
January 20, 2003-Michael Ziehr found an aluminum monument in a water box at the corner of U.S.H. 51 and
King's Lynn Road and set reference ties accordingly.
June 28, 2006 -Steven Oftedahl found a brass cap in concrete monument in a monument box at the
intersection of King's Lynn Road and Main Street(USH 51 & STH 138). All previous ties were destroyed and
four reference ties were set.
(j) I, Kevin C.
