COMPOSIT REPORT
APPLICATION # S8 0,6"-- CUP//06
TOWN BOARD COMMENT:
STAFF COMMENTS
REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION (RPC)
Petition 5805. This is an existing house, with an over-sized accessory building for the existing
residential zoning. The apparent intent of the proposed C-1 zoning is to allow for the large accessory
building, and the CUP would provide for the existing house.
This area is within the Stoughton urban service area; however, no services are provided at this site.
The predominant use in the area is residential, with single family homes on the lots to the east and
west of the proposed rezone. The area to the north is a cemet ry, with commercial uses south of USH
51.
Since the predominant use is residential and no commercial use is proposed, the only rationale for the
commercial rezoning is to allow for the large accessory building.
If the rationale is to allow the rezoning to accommodate the large accessory building, the site should
be conditionally rezoned to limit the permitted use to the current use of the site.
The C-1 district allows many heavy commercial and retail activities, which would be incompatible
with the other neighboring residences.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPT. (EHD)
CO. HIGHWAY DEPT.
OTHER
