MEMORANDUM
TO: Mayor and City Council OCT 141993
FROM: Plan Commission eJ1 NE COUNTY
LAND REC. &RECORDS
COUNCIL DATE: October 19, 1993
DATE PREPARED: October 13, 1993 CASE NUMBER: PC9309-08
VINCE AND BETTY MALY, Extraterritorial Certified Survey Map,
Northside of Bailey Road, West of Parkview Road, NE 1/4 of Section 17,
Town of Sun Prairie
OVERVIEW:
The City of Sun Prairie Plan Commission held a public meeting on Monday, October 11, 1993, to
consider a request by Vince and Betty Maly to approve a Certified Survey Map to create two lots of.96
and .64 acres form an existing approximately 1.6 acre parcel located on the north side of Bailey Road,
west of Parkview Road in the Town of Sun Prairie.
PLAN COMMISSION RECOMMENDATION
The Plan Commission voted to recommend the City Council approve the Certified Survey Map subject
to the conditions outlined within the attached resolution. The Plan Commission noted that while the
proposed Certified Survey Map is not in full compliance with the Peripheral Plan and the Regional
Development Guide, these inconsistencies are not of sufficient weight to merit a denial
recommendation given the unique circumstances of this property. The property currently is developed
with a singl ily home on the east half and a metal building used for commercial purposes on the
west half. ese e long-standing buildings and the lot division to separate the buildings is logical
and should no considered as precedent-setting for future lot divisions in the Urban Service Area
which are not in conformance with the Peripheral Plan.
Voting AYE: Cooper(lst), Holm(2nd), Bohling, Penn, Bogle, Oehrlein, Orfan
Voting NAY: none
Abstain: none
Absent: Hanneman
cc: Petitioner
To -of Sun Prairie
orb Scribner
File PC9309-08
4
4
I
I
4
4
