PETITION FOR REZONING <br /> The undersigned Robert W. Kuehling and Susan M. Kuehling of Madison, <br /> Wisconsin, contract owners, do hereby petition for rezoning as follows: <br /> 1. The property to be rezoned is known as 5323 Westport Road, in the <br /> Town of Westport, Dane County, Wisconsin, and is legally described as follows: <br /> Part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Northwest 1/4 of Section 26 and part <br /> of the Southwest 1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 23, Township 8 <br /> North, Range 9 East, in the Town of Westport, Dane County, <br /> Wisconsin, more fully described as follows: Commencing at the <br /> Northwest corner of said Section 26; thence South 1° 56' West 56.80 <br /> feet; thence South 42°17' East 136.20 feet to the point of beginning ` h , 010)K <br /> of this description; thence South 44° 43' East 175.00 feet along;the `4314) popp <br /> centerline of old State Trunk Highway "113"113"thence North 43° 17' <br /> East 466.41 feet; thence North 42° 27' West/1775.38 feet along the <br /> Southwesterly right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern <br /> Railroad; thence South 43° 17' West 473.35 feet to the point of <br /> beginning. <br /> 2. The property has an area of approximately 79,426 square feet. <br /> 3. The surface soil is predominately silty loam. None of the property is in <br /> the flood plain or shoreline vegetation area. <br /> 4. The property tax parcel number is 0809-262-8590-1. <br /> 5. The property was the site of a tavern for approximately 50 years. It was <br /> zoned B-l. In 1984, the it 233.39 feet (being approximately the rear <br /> half) of the property was rezoned from B-1 to RE-1 to facilitate a lighted softball <br /> field. The tavern was demolished in 1989. <br /> 6. The petitioners request rezoning to R-4 residential. This is compatible <br /> with the property to the southeast which is R-4 and is used as a 64 unit apartment <br /> building. To the northwest is the Nau-ti-gal Restaurant which is zoned B-1.
