INC. <br /> The site is well suited for this purpose because it is within an operating quarry, which has been <br /> fenced, bermed, seeded, site roads have been constructed, and access to CTH I from Easy Street <br /> has been improved to Dane County Highway Department Standards. <br /> Most importantly, crushed limestone products used in the production of hot-mix asphalt are <br /> available on the site, and will not have to be trucked, via public roads, to our current plant site <br /> on Norway Grove School Road in the Town of Vienna, a distance of approximately four miles. <br /> Payne & Dolan, Inc. will erect and operate a drum-mix type, hot-mix asphalt plant similar to <br /> our plants in the City of Fitchburg and the City of Franklin. These plants are located at quarry <br /> sites. <br /> The Franklin plant and the Fitchburg plant won the 1992 & 1993 national awards as ecological <br /> plant of the year. <br /> The time frame for specifying, purchase, erection, and permitting is estimated as follows: <br /> 1) Specifying and purchase = 60 - 90 days <br /> 2) Manufacture and delivery = 60 - 90 days <br /> 3) Erection & assembly = 60 - 90 days <br /> Total = 6 to 9 months <br /> DNR permitting = 4 to 6 months, <br /> and will be concurrent with items #1 - #3 above. <br /> Payne & Dolan, Inc. has operated pits, quarries, and hot-mix asphalt plants in Wisconsin since <br /> 1930, in Dane County since 1945, and in the Town of Vienna since 1974.
