•
•
WELCH, HANSON & ASSOC., INC.
CONSULTING ENGINEERS . SURVEYORS W219 E. Wisconsin Avenue
Nashotah, WI 53058
FRED M. WELCH, PRESIDENT Phone: 414-367-4225
NORMAN HANSON,VICE PRESIDENT FAX: 414-367-7645
EXHIBIT "A"
October 5, 1992
INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT:
Item 1) Property is described as being in the SW 1/4 of Section 25,T8N,R10E,Town of Burke,
Dane County,Wisconsin.
Item 2) Tax Key Numbers for the parcels are 07-0810-253-8000-2; 8500-7; 9000-0; 9500-5.
Item 4) The proposed use of the property is to utilize approximately 51 acres of the land for a
quarry site. The purpose of the quarry site is to obtain an aggregate to be utilized in
bituminous paving. It is intended this material will be used primarily for Wolf
Construction Co. in the production of their asphalt.
B) Time Schedule
Due to the nature of this project, the quarry operation would be over an
extended period of time. It is estimated the site would last at least 50 years.
C) The reason the property is suitable for the proposed use is that there are existing
quarries within the area. Preliminary soil borings indicate there is limestone
deposits on this farm which would be suitable for producing aggregate for
asphaltic paving.
Due to the proximity of other quarries in the area,it was felt that confining the
quarries to one location as opposed to being scattered throughout the Town
may be a more desireable situation.
