PETITION <br /> To: WAUNAKEE VILLAGE BOARD <br /> ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE, DANE COUNTY BOARD <br /> WE,THE UNDERSIGNED RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE OF WAUNAKEE AND <br /> THE TOWN OF WESTPORT, request the Village Board to oppose, and the County Board and its <br /> Zoning Committee to reject, the expansion of the Raemisch Quarry adjacent to Waunakee. We <br /> believe the operation of a quarry adjacent to a residential area would violate all of the following <br /> requirements of County Ordinance 10.255(2)(h) for a conditional use permit because: <br /> A. It would be"detrimental to, or endanger the public safety, comfort, or general welfare;" <br /> B. It would substantially impair and diminish "the uses, values and enjoyment of other <br /> property in the neighborhood;" <br /> C. It would impede "the normal and orderly development and improvement of the <br /> surrounding property for[residential] uses;" <br /> D.
