ACTIONS COVERED BY THESE PROCEDURES <br /> WHENEVER A DEVELOPMENT AND/OR A CHANGE OF USE IS CONTEMPLATED <br /> WHICH IS NOT PERMITTED IN THE EXISTING ZONING DISTRICT, THE OWNER <br /> MUST REQUEST A ZONING CHANGE. IN A FEW INSTANCES THE PROPOSED <br /> USE MAY REQUIRE ONLY A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT. ~~ ^ <br /> ALL ZONING CHANGES MUST BE CONSISTENT WITH THE GOALS, OBJECTIVES <br /> AND POLICIES OF THE TOWN OF MAZOMANIE LAND USE PLAN. <br /> THE FOLLOWING PROCEDURES HAVE BEEN ADOPTED BY THE TOWN BOARD AND <br /> THE PLANNING COMMITTEE OF THE TOWN OF MAZOMANIE TO GUIDE REVIEW <br /> OF LAND DIVISIONS, LAND DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS, AND CHANGES OF USE <br /> IN THE TOWN. <br /> BEFORE ANY ZONING REQUEST IS MADE, LANDOWNERS SHOULD REVIEW THESE <br /> �� , ���, <br /> �� PROCEDURES AND THE LAND USE PLAN, AVAILABLE THROUGH CLERK, <br /> - ROXANNE JORDAN (795-4658) . <br /> THE PETITION FOR ZONING CHANGE MUST BE FILED WITH THE DANE COUNTY <br /> ZONING DEPARTMENT OFFICE, ROOM 116, CITY/COUNTY BUILDING IN <br /> MADISON. <br /> BEFORE GOING TO THE COUNTY, HOWEVER, THE LANDOWNER OR I AGENT <br /> SHOULD FILE A NOTICE OF INTENT TO REQUEST A ZONING CHANGE WITH <br /> THE TOWN CLERK. CHANGES MUST BE APPROVED BY BOTH THE TOWN AND <br /> THE COUNTY. CONSISTENCY WITH THE TOWN LAND USE PLAN IS A KEY <br /> FACTOR IN THE DECISION. IT MAKES SENSE TO START WITH THE TOWN <br /> AND MAY IN THE END, SAVE THE PETITIONER TIME AND MONEY. <br /> THE LAND PLAN COMMITTEE MEETS THE FOURTH MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AS <br /> NECESSARY. PERSONS DESIRING TO BE ON THE AGENDA SHOULD CONTACT <br /> THE CLERK BY THE THIRD MONDAY OF THE MONTH. <br /> II. PROCEDURE FOR ZONING CHANGE <br /> 1 . OWNER FILES AN INTENT TO REQUEST A ZONING CHANGE WITH THE <br /> TOWN CLERK. <br /> 2. THE CLERK WILL FORWARD THE INTENT TO REQUEST A ZONING CHANGE <br /> TO THE PLAN COMMITTEE AND THE TOWN BOARD WITH REASONABLE <br /> ��' PROMPTNESS. <br /> �*� <br /> �� .' <br /> 3. AN INFORMATIONAL CONFERENCE WILL BE SCHEDULED WITH THE <br /> APPLICANT AT THE NEXT REGULARLY SCHEDULED LAND PLAN COMMITTEE <br /> MEETING. THE INTENT OF THIS CONFERENCE IS TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION <br /> AND IDEAS BETWEEN THE APPLICANT AND THE COMMITTEE. IT IS <br /> SUGGESTED THE NEIGHBORS BE INVOLVED IN THE CONFERENCE ALSO. <br />
