Mr. Bill Flick, Zoning Administrator Dane County Zoning Department Room 116, City-County Building Madison, Wisconsin 53709 Dear Mr. Flick: I am writing to you in regard to Conditional Use Permit No. 494 which allows for mineral extraction on lands owned by Darlene Ballweg in the Town of Roxbury. At the time the CUP application was submitted, Edward Kraemer & Sons, Inc. held an interest in the lands described in the permit and therefore applied for this permit as Agent for the Owner. There were two different leases on the lands described in the permit but they were both included in one permit application. My understanding, which was confirmed by someone in your office, is that the Conditional Use Permit follows the property and not the operator, but I wanted the Zoning office to be made aware that Edward Kraemer & Sons, Inc. no longer has an interest in the property described in the permit as the S1/2, SE 1/4, Section 6, T9N, R7E , lying West of STH 188. Our lease expired on this property in January of 1992 and since that time there has not been any mineral extraction operations on the property. Edward Kraemer & Sons, Inc. would therefore like to be relinquished from any performance standards required under the CUP for this property. Edward Kraemer & Sons, Inc. is still conducting its mineral extraction operations on the other property described in the permit as the N 1/2, NE 1/4, Section 7, T9N, R7E.
