JANUARY 25, 1993 <br /> DANE COUNTY ZONING AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE <br /> ROOM 116, CITY-COUNTY BUILDING <br /> MADISON WI 53709 <br /> RE: REZONE PETITION #5542 FROM A-1EX TO RH-2 AND R-1 <br /> TO WHOM IT CONCERNS: <br /> THIS LETTER AND THE ATTACHED DOCUMENTS ARE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION WE <br /> WOULD LIKE YOU TO REVIEW PRIOR TO MAKING YOUR RECOMMENDATION TO THE <br /> COUNTY BOARD IN THIS MATTER. WE ARE INTENDING TO PURCHASE A THREE <br /> ACRE PARCEL FROM ROBERT AND PEGGY BUNNEL. ONCE BOB SELLS US THIS <br /> LAND HE WILL HAVE APPROXIMATELY 5.6 ACRES REMAINING. OUR INTENT IS <br /> TO BUILD A HOME FOR OURSELVES ON THE EAST END OF THE THREE ACRE <br /> PARCEL AND TO SUBDIVIDE THE REMAINING LAND INTO AN ADDITIONAL FOUR <br /> PARCELS. BOTH THE CITY OF STOUGHTON AND THE TOWN OF DUNKIRK ARE <br /> FULLY AWARE OF OUR PLANS AND HAVE NO OBJECTION. THE CITY OF <br /> STOUGHTON PUT OUR NEIGHBORHOOD INTO THE URBAN SERVICE AREA. WE <br /> CURRENTLY OWN A HOME ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE THREE ACRE PARCEL. <br /> THE LAND THAT BOB CURRENTLY OWNS CONSISTS OF HIS HOME AND <br /> OUTBUILDINGS. THE LAND IS NOT BEING USED FOR LIVESTOCK OR FARMING OF <br /> ANY KIND. WE HAVE PERSONALLY SPOKEN WITH SEVEN OUT OF NINE OF OUR <br /> NEIGHBORS THAT LIVE ON VERNON ROAD(STREET) AND THEY HAD NO OBJECTIONS <br /> TO OUR PLAN. AS A MATTER OF FACT, AT LEAST ONE IS INTERESTED IN <br /> BUILDING ON ONE OF THE LOTS. THIS SUBDIVISION CONSISTS OF <br /> APPROXIMATELY 30 HOMES AND THE CITY OF STOUGHTON IS CURRENTLY <br /> BUILDING A CITY PARK AT THE END OF VERNON ROAD, ON RACETRACK ROAD. <br /> THE NEIGHBORHOOD IS PROVIDED WITH ELECTRIC SERVICE BY STOUGHTON <br /> ELECTRIC. VERNON ROAD IS COMPLETELY PAVED TO THE END OF THIS PARCEL. <br /> AS NOTED BEFORE, THIS AREA IS IN THE CITY OF STOUGHTON URBAN SERVICE <br /> AREA.
