BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - OCTOBER 10, 1969 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M., October 10, 1969, in <br /> Room 226 (Circuit Court Branch IV), City-County Building, Madison, Wiscons' ' , <br /> to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. The following <br /> members were present: Millard Erickson, Oscar Holte, Harland Dahlk. Also <br /> present, L. J. Enger, Acting Zoning Supervisor. <br /> The meeting was called to order, on a motion by Mr. Holte and seconded by <br /> Mr. Erickson, Mr. Dahlk was nominated as secretary, motion carried. Motion <br /> by Mr. Holte, seconded by Mr. Dahlk to approve minutes of the meetings of <br /> September 19 and Ocotber 4, motion carried. <br /> The notice was read and the following cases were heard: <br /> 1. Appeal by John Borter from the denial of a permit to build a barn on a <br /> parcel of land in the SE'* SW* of Section 10, Town of Deerfield. Permit <br /> denied because set back from county highway is less than required by the <br /> Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Borter explained that he was asking for a set back of 22 feet <br /> which would permit him to use a cement platform and feed bunk that is in <br /> place. The present barn is at the right of way, but will not be removed. <br /> OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to grant the 22 foot set back, seconder <br /> by Mr. Dahlk and the motion carried. <br /> 2. Appeal by Richard L. Brown from the denial of a permit to build an add- <br /> ition to a residence in the SE",* NE* of Section 23, Town of Albion. Permit <br /> denied because set back from state highway is less than required by the <br /> Dane County Zoning Ordinance. Rear yard is also less than required. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Brown explained that he did not know that a county permit was <br /> required and that the town inspector had issued a town permit. The measure- <br /> ments were taken from the east side of the property and with the curve in <br /> the road the west end would be closer to the road, so a variance of 10 feet <br /> would be asked for. Mr. Brown is purchasing additional land to the rear to <br /> provide more rear yard. <br /> OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Mr. Sanford Anderson, Chairman said the Town Board was in favor <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Dalhk moved to grant a variance of 10 feet, secon- <br /> ded by Mr. Holte, motion carried. <br /> 3. Appeal by John J. Schwoegler from the denial of a permit to build an <br /> addition to a garage on a part of lot 22, block 2, Second Ward Beach Sub- <br /> division, Town of West port. Permit denied because set back from road is <br /> less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Schwoegler explained that he needed more room in the garage <br /> and the only way he could get it was to build an addition on the front. He <br /> found his front lot stake and the present garage is 22 feet from the road. <br /> He would like a variance to build 12 feet from the right of way. <br /> OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to grant a variance of 8 feet, Mr. D: 1 . <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mr, Holte to adjourn, carried. <br /> Mileage: all regular <br /> Harland F.
