BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - SEPTEMBER 19, 1969 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M. , September 19, 1969 <br /> in Room 226 (Circuit Court Branch IV), City-County Building, Madison, Wis- <br /> consin, to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. The follow <br /> ing members were present: Millard Erickson, Oscar Holte. Also present, <br /> L. J. Enger, Acting Supervisor. <br /> The meeting was called to order, the notice read and the following cases <br /> heard: <br /> 1. Appeal by Edward A. Webb from the denial of a permit to build an add- <br /> ition to a residence on a parcel of land in the NE34 NE4 of Section 18, <br /> Town of Rutland. Permit denied because set back from road is less than re- <br /> quired by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Webb explained that he needed more storage room for a <br /> boat and yard equipment and that/his is the most logical place to build an <br /> addition. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Motion by Mr. Holte to grant variance, carried. <br /> 2. Appeal by Elizabeth T. Vasta from the denial of a permit to build a <br /> garage on a parcel of land in the W34 NW3 of Section 13, Town of Blooming <br /> Grove. Permit denied because set back from County highway is less than re- <br /> quired by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mrs. Vasta explained that the highway right-of-way was wid: <br /> in front of her lot and that the pavement is at the north side of the righ.- <br /> of-way and to locate the garage at the normal set back would mean a long <br /> driveway. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: Mr. Erickson read a letter from the City of Madison Depart- <br /> ment of Transportation in explanation of their plans for future street de- <br /> velopment. It would appear that the variance would not be in conflict with <br /> their plans however. <br /> TOWN BOARD: Mr. Georgeson appeared and said the Town Board was in favor of <br /> the variance. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Motion by Mr. Holte to grant variance, carried. <br /> 3. Appeal by Donald and Richard Statz from the denial of a permit to build <br /> a duplex on a parcel of land in the SW',4 SWA of Section 2, Town of Sun Pra' ie. <br /> Permit denied because set back from both a State Highway and a County High <br /> way is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Donald and Richard Statz appeared and explained that the <br /> new house would be farther from the roads than the older house which is to <br /> be torn down. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Motion by Mr. Holte to grant variance, motion carried. <br /> Motion by Mr. Holte to adjourn, carried. <br /> Mileage: all regular <br /> Vice-Chairman, Oscar Holte �2 c 4 � 1W�J <br /> L <br />
