BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - SEPTEMBER 10, 1968 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M., September <br /> 10, 1968 in Room 223, City-County Building, Madison, Wisconsin <br /> to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. The <br /> following members were present: Millard Erickson, Chairman; <br /> Oscar Holte, Vice-Chairman. Also present: L. J. Enger, Zoning <br /> Assistant. <br /> The meeting was called to order, the notice read and the following <br /> cases heard: <br /> Appeal by Gus Drives from the denial of a permit to build a resi- <br /> dence on Lots 1 and 2, Block 2, Colladay Park, Town of Dunn. Permit <br /> denied because both right and left side yards are less than required <br /> by Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Drives and Mr. Krueger, Architect explained <br /> their plans and the desire to preserve some valuable trees. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED; None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Milo Edwards and Sidney Hanson appeared and the Town <br /> Board had no objections. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to approve, Mr. Erickson <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Appeal by David L. Johnson from the denial of a permit to build a <br /> covered patio ,on Lot 10, Block 4, Quam's Addition Shadyside Park, <br /> Town of Pleasant Springs. Permit denied because rear yard is less <br /> than required by Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Johnson explained his plans. Mr. Donald Halverson <br /> and Mr. Lloyd Emery were in favor (neighbors). Mr. Johnson had a <br /> letter from Mr. H. F. Schumacher in favor. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to approve, Mr. Erickson <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br /> Appeal by Lakewood Plaza, Inc. from the denial of a permit to build <br /> a shopping center and offices om lots 17 and 18, Scholze and Schram <br /> Assessor's Plat, Town of Burke. Permit denied because setback from <br /> road is less than required by Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. James Taff, Mr. A. J. Taff, Mr. Hovde explained <br /> the plans for the developement of the land and improvements. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Mr. O .K. Anderson, Mr. Marvin McCoy appeared and were <br /> in favor of the variance. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to approve, Mr. Erickson <br /> seconded and the motion carried. <br />
