DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT - MEETING SEPTEMBER 2, 1968 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M., September <br /> 2, 1968 in Room 314, City-County Building, Madison, Wisconsin. <br /> Members present: Millard Erickson, Chairman; Oscar Holte, Vice- <br /> Chairman; Hermann Eisner, Secretary. Also present: Samuel Morris, <br /> Assistant Corporation Counsel; L. J. Enger, Zoning Assistant. <br /> Meeting was called to order. Mr. Eisner moved that the minutes <br /> of the meetings of August 27 and 31 be approved, Mr. Holte second- <br /> ed and the vote was unanimous. <br /> The Board then took up the Home Feed Co. Ease, all of the possible <br /> decisions were discussed. <br /> It was agreed that the petition for a variance be denied, however <br /> if Home Feed company would complete plans for moving the building <br /> and grain dryer to a conforming set back at the end of the 1968 <br /> grain drying season and apply for all of the necessary town and <br /> county permits; as well as tate several steps for the protection <br /> of the neighboring property owners (installation of sound baffles, <br /> closing of cupolas on the sides nearest the residential areas). The <br /> Board would permit the use of the grain dryer and building for the <br /> 1968 grain drying season id these conditions are met. The loss of <br /> the grain drying services would result in economic loss and hardship <br /> to farmers in the area. <br /> Mr. Eisner moved that the Zoning Department and The Corporation <br /> Counsel draft a letter to this effect for the signature of Mr. <br /> Erickson and to be mailed by registered mail to Home Feed Co., <br /> Mr. Holte seconded and the motion carried <br /> Meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. <br /> Mileage: All regular <br /> Secretary, Hermann Eisner eo /-7 -2-E/1 <br />
