BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING - NOVEMBER 22, 1968 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met at 7:30 P.M., November <br /> 22, 1968 in Room 226 (Circuit Court Branch IV), City-County <br /> Building, Madison, Wisconsin to conduct a public hearing as <br /> published in the notice. The following members were present: <br /> Millard Erickson, Chairman; Oscar Holte, Vice Chairman; Hermann <br /> Eisner, Secretary. Also present: L. J. Enger, Zoning Assistant. <br /> The meeting was called to order. Mr. Eisner moved that the minutes <br /> of November 7 and 16, 1968 be approved, Mr. Holte seconded and the <br /> motion carried. <br /> The notice was read and the following cases heard: <br /> 1. Appeal by Emily A. Peterson from the denial of a permit to <br /> build a residence on a parcel of land in Atkinson's Addition to <br /> Cottage Park, Town of Pleasant Springs. Permit denied because lot <br /> area and lot width are less than required by Dane County Zoning <br /> Ordinance. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Emily A. Peterson and William Chritton, Attorney. <br /> Mr. Chritton explained that the existing houses made it necessary <br /> to relocate lot boundaries on the lot purchased by Miss Peterson. <br /> Mr. Chritton presented letters from adjoining property owners in <br /> favor of granting the variance. <br /> THOSE OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Did not appear <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: Mr. Holte moved to grant the variance, Mr. <br /> Eisner seconded and the motion carried. <br /> 2. Appeal by Max H. Crow from the denial of a <br /> pp y permit to build <br /> a warehouse and shop on a parcel of land in the SE% SW34 of <br /> Section 10, Town of Dunkirk. Permit denied because proposed use <br /> of land is not permitted on land which is zoned A-1 Agricultural. <br /> THOSE IN FAVOR: Mr. Crow appeared and the Board explained to him <br /> that the Board of Adjustment could not grant a zoning variance <br /> and that he should petition the Zoning Committee to rezone the <br /> land to a proper classification. <br /> ACTION BY THE BOARD: No action was taken. <br /> The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 P.M. <br /> Mileage: All regular. <br /> Secretary, Hermann Eisner <br /> c <br />
