DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> Meeting of July 20, 1973 <br /> 1 <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk <br /> Also: Enger, Fleck <br /> Meeting was called to order by Chairman Erickson at 7:30 P.M. in <br /> Room 226 to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. <br /> A motion to approve the minutes of June 15 and July 14, -1973 was made by <br /> Dahlk, second by Holte, carried. <br /> The notice was read and the public hearing was opened. <br /> #22t . Appeal by Richard B. Sigerstad from denial of a permit to build <br /> an addition to a residence located on Lot3, Ole J. Quam's <br /> Park Addition, Township of Dunn, Permit denied because rear yard (setback <br /> from water) is less than reauired. by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> In Favor: R. Sigerstad; proposed addition is a continuation of an <br /> existing porch, necessary to allow maintenance of building and windows <br /> on the lake side. <br /> Others in Favor: None Opposed: None Town Board: Not present <br /> #225. Appeal by Irving Quam from denial of a permit to erect a directory <br /> sign on a parcel of land located in the NE4 NK4 of Section 20, <br /> Township of Pleasant Springs. Permit denied because the Dane <br /> County Ordinance permits the listing of only one individual <br /> business on a directory sign. <br /> In Favor: I. Quam, proposed directory sign to Quam's Marina. Mr. <br /> Stiklestad wished to have his name listed on the sign in return for <br /> allowing it on Yis property. Stoughton, at one time, also wanted a <br /> sign in this area. <br /> Others in Favor: None Opposed: None Town Board: Not present <br /> #226. Appeal by Lowell E. Stampfli, Agent for Mrs. Versace, from <br /> denial of a permit to build an addition to a residence on a parcel <br /> of land located in the SE4 SW4 of Section 2, Township of Vermont. Permit <br /> denied because setback from Highway 78 is less than required by the Dane <br /> County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN Favor: William Cox representing Mrs. Versace who is in Germany. <br /> Addition is farther back from highway than existing residence. The <br /> house is to be rented out as Mrs. Versace does not wish to leave it <br /> vacant when she is away. The addition is to provide living quarters <br /> for Mrs. Versace when she is in this area. <br /> Others in Favor: Thomas Haig neighbor to the south. <br /> Opposed: None Town Board: Not present. <br /> #227. Appeal by Allyn Roberts from denial of a permit to remodel <br /> a non conforming residence located on Lots 20 and 21, Yahara <br /> Heights, Township of Westport. Permit denied because rear <br /> yard is less than required by the Dane County zoning ordinance. <br /> Mr. Enger, Zoning Supervisor, informed the Board that verification had <br /> been made of a purchase of additional land providing an adequate rear <br /> yard and Mr. Roberts wished to withdraw his petition. Motion to <br /> accept withdrawal by Dahlk, second by Holte, carried. <br /> #228. Appeal by Helen Waldmann, agent for Francis Reindr form the denial <br /> of a permit to build a residence on a parcel of land located <br /> in the NW4 SW4 of Section 14, Town of Christiana. Permit denied <br />
