MINUTES.OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> Meeting of May 18, 1973 <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk Also: Enger, Fleck <br /> Meeting was called to order by Chairman Erickson at 7:30 P. M. in <br /> Room 226 to conduct a public hearing as published in the notice. <br /> A motion to approve the minutes of April 20, and May 12, 1973 was <br /> made by Dahlk, second by Holte, carried. <br /> The notice was read and the public hearing was opened. <br /> #219. Appeal by Phillip Schoenbeck from denial of a permit to build <br /> an addition to a residence located on Lot 17, Country Club Park, <br /> Township of Pleasant Springs. Permit denied because setback from <br /> Town Road is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Dr. Schoenbeck: proposed addition will provede extra room in <br /> two small bedrooms. The house and lot are very narrow and one of the <br /> bedrooms could not be enlarged without a variance. Have contacted <br /> neighbors and they have no objections. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None . OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Letter stating addition should conform with ordinance. <br /> A220. Appeal by James M. Schilleman from denial of a permit to build <br /> an addition to a residence on a parcel of land located in part of the <br /> WI of Section 29, Township of Pleasant Springs. Permit denied because <br /> setback from water (rear yard) is less than required by the Dane County <br /> Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Schilleman presented blue prints; the main purpose for <br /> asking the variance was to be able to inclose the well and pump inside <br /> the residence and to provide an entry into the residence. A question <br /> as to the legality of inclosing thewell and pump inside the residence <br /> was raised. It was also pointed out that an entry could be provided eve <br /> if the proposed addition was built in convormance with the ordinance. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: None <br /> TOWN BOARD: Letter stating addition sould conform with ordinance. <br /> #218. Appeal by Arnold Otteson from denial of a permit to construct a <br /> garage on Lot 6, Norris Park, Township of Dunn. Permit denied because <br /> setback and side yard are less than required by the Dane County Zoning <br /> Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: Mr. Otteson: Variance was requested to clarify where he <br /> could build, conforming with setback would allow only a 20' yard between <br /> house and garage. Also, the steep slope from the road to the lake <br /> would mean that the farther from the road he was required to build <br /> the higher the wall would be required. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: None OPPOSED: N,ne TOWN BOARD: Not present <br /> The hearing was closed. <br /> , 218. Motion to grant 10' variance from required setback and 1' variant= <br /> from required side yard by Dahlk as per finding of fact: <br /> 1. Proven case of unnessary hardship. <br /> 2. Variance required to secure for the applicant, a right <br /> enjoyed by other property owners in area. <br />
