MINUTES OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> MEETING OF APRIL 21, 1972 <br /> The Dane County Board of Adjustment met on April 21, 1972 with the <br /> following members present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. Also: Enger, Fleck. <br /> Meeting was called to order in the City-County Building Room 226 (Circuit <br /> Court Branch IV) to conduct a Public Hearing as published in the noti ce. <br /> Present: Erickson, Holte, Dahlk. Also: Enger, Fleck. <br /> The notice was read and the Public Hearing was opened. <br /> #169. Appeal by L. Statz from denial of a permit to build an addition to a <br /> residence on a parcel of land in the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 of Section 12, Township <br /> of Springfield. Permit denied because setback from State Highway 19 <br /> is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Crdinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: George F. Bauer representing L. Statz stated that Mr. Statz <br /> was unaware that a permit was required from the County or that he was <br /> too close to the highway. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none. OPPOSED: none. TOWN BOARD: Telephone call from <br /> A. Endres, Chairman, board is in favor. <br /> v.-170. Appeal by Norris Gammeter from denial of a permit to build an <br /> addition to a residence on a parcel of land in the NE% SE% of Section <br /> 30, Township of Fitchburg. Permit denied because seyback from Town <br /> road is less than required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: N. Gammeter, addition is actually 1' farther back than <br /> shown on drawing, it will be 58' from the centerline requiring only a <br /> 5' variance instead of 61 . Several neighboring houses are as close to <br /> the road, <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none. OPPOSED: none. TOWN BOARD: not present. <br /> 171. Appeal by R. Beuthin from denial of a permit to build a silo on a <br /> parcel of land in the SE 4 NE% of Section 12 Township of iMazomanie. <br /> Permit denied because setback from State Highway 19 is less than <br /> required by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Beuthin; location for silo is necessary because of <br /> existing silos and dry wells. <br /> OTHERS IN FAVOR: none. OPPOSED: none. TOWN BOARD: not present. <br /> J 172. Appeal by Darrell Langer from denial of a permit to build a silo on a <br /> parcel of land in the SE' NW4 OF Section 17 Township of Medina. Permi <br /> denied because setback from County Highway "T" is less than required <br /> by the Dane County Zoning Ordinance. <br /> LETTER RECEIVED from D. Langer requesting withdrawal of appeal. <br /> ✓-173. Appeal by Frederick C. Kuhle and Edward W. Klug for a Special <br /> Exception Permit to dredge that portion of Mud Creek which lies <br /> within the NE 1/4 SA NTH;4: the W1 E½ N'W4; and the NE 4 N 9 of Section 2L <br /> Township of York. <br /> IN FAVOR: F. Kuhle and E. Klug: ; NE% NF4 of Section 21 was not to be <br /> included. Dredging is necessary because stream is filling in and is <br /> becoming weeded. L. J. Enger, Zoning Supervisor, we have a conflictin. <br /> giro "opinion with DNR over stream' s navigability but using our resource, <br /> USGS maps, the stream is navigable. Our concern would be in minimizin, <br /> siltation of stream and erosion of banks, if these were taken care of <br /> we would have no objection. <br /> LETTER RECEIVED from DNR, Harold E. Meier Water Management <br /> Investigator, stating that a permit from DNR would not be necessary. <br /> • <br />
