• <br /> • <br /> February 2, 1993 <br /> To Whom It May Concern: <br /> I am writing to request a zoning change for a 6 acre parcel in the Town of <br /> Cross Plains. <br /> My mother, Nola Contrucci, currently owns 96 acres located at 8972 Domini <br /> Road, along CTH S between Pine Bluff and Mt. Horeb. She has owned this <br /> land since 1975. As she reaches retirement, she has offered to gift me a <br /> 6 acre parcel cut out of the original 96 acres she owns. This 6 acre <br /> parcel is currently zoned as Al Exclusive. I request that this parcel be <br /> rezoned as RH-2, so that I may build a single family home upon it. I have <br /> desired to build a home in this area since our family first moved there in <br /> 1975, and as my mother reaches retirement age she is finding it <br /> increasingly difficult to maintain the farm on her own. For these reasons <br /> I am requesting the zoning change at this time. <br /> I have had initial meetings with a builder and the bank, and it seems as <br /> though I will be able to build as soon as this spring, pending approval of <br /> the zoning change. If all goes well , I hope to break ground in May of <br /> 1993. <br /> The 6 acre parcel I am requesting to be rezoned has never been tilled to <br /> the best of my knowledge. This non-tillable land is very rocky and stony, <br /> and most of it is too steep to plow. It is currently not being utilized, <br /> although it has been used as pastureland in the past. A soil scientist <br /> that I work with at Ayres Associates has completed a preliminary <br /> investigation of the soils found in the parcel . His findings are <br /> attached. Also, I have attached a blueline of an aerial photo of the <br /> parcel . A verbal description if the initial survey is also attached. <br /> The parcel has access to two different town roads. Domini Road intersects <br /> the parcel at the southeast corner, while Sugar Valley Road intersects at <br /> the northeast corner. In addition, my mothers driveway runs parallel to <br /> the parcel along its southern edge. I have contacted the Town of Cross <br /> Plains to request an appearance before the Town Board at its February 22nd <br /> meeting to explain my request to the County for the zoning change. <br /> I hope this letter has effectively explained my desire for the zoning <br /> change.
