AFFIDAVIT <br /> In Re: Petition for Rezoning No. 5557 (Petition by Barbara <br /> Heinemann) . <br /> STATE OF WISCONSIN ) <br /> ss : <br /> COUNTY OF DANE ) <br /> David Gilbert, being first duly sworn, on oath deposes and <br /> says that he is a resident of the City of Sun Prairie, Dane County, <br /> Wisconsin, and has been such resident for more than 20 years last <br /> past; that he is very familiar with the area affected by the <br /> proposed zoning change having lived at Kenneth Court (Tall Oaks <br /> Subdivision) for over 15 years until 1992 . <br /> That for over 30 years he has been in business as a contractor <br /> and real estate developer; that he has developed and still owns <br /> apartment buildings and mini-warehouses . <br /> That approximately two years ago at a meeting of Apartment <br /> Owners at the Sheraton Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin, he sat beside <br /> the Petitioner Barbara Heinemann; at which meeting Petitioner <br /> Heinemann told your affiant that she was going to get the subject <br /> property rezoned in order to construct mini-warehouses because she <br /> wanted to generate more income. Your affiant told Petitioner <br /> Heinemann that mini-warehouses or other commercial enterprises did <br /> not belong in the neighborhood that they belonged in an industrial <br /> setting and that the neighbors, including myself, would most <br /> certainly object; she replied that she would have to live beside <br /> 1 <br />
