October 11, 1994 - David Riesop found the aluminum monument marking the S 1/4 corner of Section 36 of Pleasant Springs. This monument has been used for the N 1/4 corner of Section 1 by McKenna in 1978 and by Richardson in 1990. The true corner is a prorated position along the Town line as the NW corner of Section 1 was set 8.58' from the Pleasant Springs corner in the original survey. In the resurvey of Pleasant Springs by Hinz, he notes he set the SW corner of Section 36, 8.58 feet East of a stone found at the NW corner of Section 1. Riesop set a railroad spike at the N 1/4 corner of Section 1 on line between the S 1/4 corner and SE corners of Section 36 at 1/2 the distance from the NE corner of Section 1 and a point 8.58 feet West of the SW corner of Section 36.
