Fleck
Dane County Zoning Administrator
210 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd.
Room 116
Madison, Wisconsin 53709
Re: Craig and Janice Faga - Zoning Petition No. 5622
Ladies and Gentlemen:
The purpose of this writing is to update you as to the
status of the above-referenced zoning petition which I believe
will be taken up at your working meeting on Tuesday, January 25,
1994 . As you may recall, Zoning Petition No. 5622 originally
sought rezoning for the Fagas' 15.75 acre parcel (the "Faga
Parcel") to permit ten (10) one-acre residential lots and one (1)
three and one half (3 1/2) acre parcel. However, on December 20,
1993, after numerous meetings and extensive discussions, the Town
of Westport Board approved a resolution approving a rezoning for
the Faga Parcel that would permit a total of four (4) lots (a
copy of the proposed site plan approved by the Town Board is
attached hereto) . Specifically, the Town Board's resolution
approved rezoning to RH-1 for that portion of the property shown
as lots 1, 2 and 4 of the site plan, and to RH-2 for that portion
of the property shown as lot 3 of the site plan.
Please note that in an effort to accommodate the concerns of
Town officials, Craig and Janice Faga have agreed to a severe
deed restriction which absolutely prohibits further subdivision
of the Faga Parcel. Please note further that in approving the
rezoning resolution, the Town Board acknowledged that the
circumstances surrounding the Faga Parcel have changed due to the
Bishop's Bay Country Club development which surrounds the Faga
Parcel on three sides, and that the use of the Faga Parcel for
agricultural purposes was no longer appropriate.
>
