TOWN BOARD - Hay 18 , 1993 <br /> The Board of Review for the Town of Westport was called to order at <br /> 8 : 05PM at the administration building . As the tax roll was not <br /> ready, Board of Review adjourned to June 24 , '1993 or a subsequent <br /> date on a motion by Mr. Grosskopf , second Mr . Van Dinter at 8 : 09PM. <br /> The regular semi-monthly meeting of the Town Board was called to <br /> order at the administration building at 8 : 10PM. Members present : <br /> Doyle , Grosskopf , Van Dinter. Members absent : none . Also <br /> attending were Tom Capp, John Feige, Troy Hellenbrand, Richard <br /> Wilson, Tim Ziegler , Mary Vanowetz , O. J . Knechtges , Al Thompson , <br /> Ron Bowen, William & Vicky Knoedler , Robert Bradley, Nancy DiFiore , <br /> John & Il.a Gardner , Charlotte Lima , Michael Goode and Fred Renfert . <br /> The minutes of the May 4 meeting were approved with the following <br /> inserted as the ninth paragraph: Ho through trucks over 8 , 000 <br /> pounds was approved for River Road, Kopp Road , Woodland Drive (west <br /> of CTH Q) , Meffert Road and Balzer Road on a motion by Hr . <br /> Grosskopf , second Mr. Van Dinter . <br /> A public hearing on the proposed ordinance amendment relating to <br /> slow-no-wake on the Yahara River was called to order at 8 : 15PM. <br /> Richard Wilson appeared to speak in favor of adoption. With their <br /> .being no other comments , the public hearing was adjourned at <br /> 8 : 20PM. Following a short discussion, the ordinance amendment was <br /> adapted on a motion by Mr . Van Dinter, second Hr . Grosskopf . <br /> Tom Capp presented the Camiros report on the Fox Bluff Road area <br /> sewer survey results . Copies were distributed to the area <br /> residents in attendance . Following a review and discussion with <br /> those present , the Board authorized proceeding with the <br /> • <br /> reconstruction of Sumac Circle , Sumac Road and South Meadow Drive <br /> on a motion by Hr . Van Dinter , second tir . Doyle . The clerk was <br /> instructed to advise Mayo Corporation to submit the plans for final <br /> approval before proceeding to bid the project . <br /> Tim Ziegler was present to request approval for several road <br /> maintenance projects . Approval for crackfilling in the amount of <br /> $5 , 000 was approved on a motion by Hr . Grosskopf , second Mr . Doyle . <br /> Chip sealing of Westport Road, Balzer Road, Kennedy Drive , Shannon <br /> Way and Galway Drive was given to Dane County and precoated chip <br /> sealing for Riverview Drive , Salter Court , Caton Lane , Tuggle Lane , <br /> Gilkeson Road and Weiss Road was awarded to Scott Construction on <br /> a motion by Mr . Van Dinter, second Hr . Grosskopf . The culvert <br /> replacement proposal for Wakanda was awarded to F. H. Raemisctr <br /> Sons , Inc . in the amount of $2300 on a motion by Hr . Grosskopf , <br /> second Mr. Van Dinter . A request was entered for Don Mayo to look <br /> at the drainage on Bong Road at Kuehn ' s and at the corner of <br /> Borchers Beach and Simon Trail . The clerk was instructed to <br /> contact the Village of Waunakee to request cost-sharing for <br /> Woodland Drive maintenance before approval is granted . <br /> The 'Town Board is considering forming a committee to identify the <br /> long range needs of the ;maintenance department and propose possible <br /> RECEIVED MAY 24 1993 <br />
