Since the area covered by the soils excavated <br /> from the proposed fill area will be allowed to revegetate with the <br /> preproject vegetation types and since the discharge of the excavated <br /> materials did not significantly alter the type of soil or the <br /> hydrology of the area, the discharge did not cause a significant <br /> adverse modification to these four acres of wetlands. <br /> Because your project, as proposed, will cause a significant adverse <br /> modification to less than one acre of the wetland, the discharge of <br /> fill materials into the 200' X 200' area indicated on the attached <br /> drawings, is authorized by the existing nationwide permit.
