The criteria are also categorized by land use <br /> type. This project has the possibility (now in the planning stage) of having a residential area <br /> located on the south side of the project. For residential areas an increase in sound level of <br /> lees than 10 dB is considered No Impact, an increase in sound level between 10 and 15 dB is <br /> considered Impact and an increase of more than 15 dB is considered Severe Impact. <br /> The following table addresses the expected levels and impact at the closest residence, which <br /> will be located on the south edge of the project area. The dominant source of noise is the <br /> operations area which will be located 600 feet away from the closest residence and will <br /> operate only during the day time hours of 8AM to 5PM. No night time calculations were <br /> made since no operations are expected to happen at night.
