Grant a conditional use permit, allowing the construction of <br /> multifamily housing in a B-1 zoning district. <br /> II LEGAL DESCRIPTION AND TAX PARCEL NUMBERS <br /> Please see Exhibit A for legal description. The tax parcel numbers are <br /> listed below. <br /> 2015 Sherman Avneue, 16-01-60.1 <br /> 2017 Sherman Avenue, 16-01-61 <br /> 2019 Sherman Avenue, 16-01-60 <br /> 2017 Sherman Avenue, 16,-01-62 <br /> III PROPOSED USE <br /> Located along Sherman Avenue, on the near east side of Madison, the <br /> subject property is comprised of four contiguous parcels with a total of <br /> four existing buildings, three rooming houses and one 4-unit apartment <br /> building, see Exhibit B. <br /> Our proposal would construct a new apartment building containing eight <br /> 2-bedroom apartments in the northeast corner of the subject property, <br /> see Exhibit C. Additionally, our proposal would combine all four <br /> parcels into one parcel. The new parcel would consist of 1 .3 acres, <br /> 56,628 square feet. <br /> A conditional use permit is required so that multi-family units may be <br /> constructed in a B-1 zoning district. Currently the subject property is <br /> used for rental housing and there is a mix of apartments and single <br /> family homes surrounding the subject property. Historically, the <br /> subject property was zoned R-4. However, in 1976 the original owners <br /> changed the zoning classification to B-1 so that the subject property <br />
