Pending further comments at the public hearing, this petition <br /> appears reasonably consistent with adopted plan policies. <br /> 5322 Rezone is required by the current county zoning ordinance to permit a <br /> residence for an owner who will not earn a minimum of 30% of gross <br /> income from production on the land. The State Farmland Preservation <br /> Law has recently been amended (1991 Wis Act 286, SB 231) to allow a <br /> residence for an owner of a minimum of 35 contiguous acres to have a <br /> residence provided it does not convert land devoted primarily to ag use <br /> or limit the surrounding land's potential for ag use. Soils on the <br /> rezone area is 100% Class V - VIII, not appropriate for farming. <br /> Environmental Health Dept. (E.H.D.) — <br /> Co. Highway Dept. — <br /> Petitions 5322 . No apparent problems, however our area <br /> supervisor must approve any driveway modification or requests <br /> for additional access. <br />
