•
•
•
orv,A
May 11, 1992
4037 Hwy # 19
DeForest, Wisc 53532
608-244-7424
•
To; The Dane County Board •
Re; Permission to expand the Malagold Kennel
We are opposed to granting permission to the Malagold Kennel for
expansion at its present address, •
•
Our reasons are that the past noise was unacceptable and the
increased noise will be even more damaging to this residential
area. This kennel business is a serious nuisance which disrupts
•
the community and lowers the property values. Given the.. fact
that there is great interest in preserving the Token Creek basin
• as a clean water source and a larger land area of unspoiled and
undeveloped land, this permission would be aggressively counter
to that aim.
• It is a time for the Dane County Board to take decisive action
• and leadership in the area of quality of life, and to assure that
the major acquafier for the greater Madison area is not further
• encroached upon. We consider this issue primary for the future
well- being of the north east corridor. We are proud of the
Token Creek history, appreciate our good neighbors and want to
see this community protect itself and take its place in
determining its own destiny and quality of life. Any development
or change, whether private or business or public, must meet
stiff requirements that insure that the proposal will be non-
invasive to the quality of life in the area. Anything less is
serious trouble for all of us in the future,
' Thank you for your attention,
sincerely yours,
Jo and Rose Mary Harbison
•
` /
