Faust 4551 Meadowview Road Gentlemen: Please consider this our letter of transmittal for the application of a conditional use permit. Proposed use of the property - Dependency living arrange- ment for mother, Sally Faust, and her son, Jeffrey J. Faust, and his family. The farm has been Mrs . Faust ' s home since 1957. She wishes to remain on the property, but at the age of 75 the day-to-day upkeep is becoming too strenuous . One of our concerns with her living there alone is the possibility of her falling, especially outside in winter, and not being able to summon help. In recent years she has broken her wrist and smashed her fingers , during which time she lived with us as she was unable to eat, dress and bathe without assistance. With three growing children it is no longer feasible for us to accommodate this arrangement in our current home, if the need should arise. During this time it also was difficult to keep up both homes . Time schedule - Construction to start as soon as all approvals and permits are obtained. Once construction has commenced ex- terior work should be completed within three months . Interior work to be completed by occupants within time frames allowed. Reasons why the property is suitable for the proposed use - We would like to keep the farm property in the family, as my parents have spent a great deal of time and effort to improve the residence, outbuildings and landscaping. This living arrange- ment would allow us to maintain the property in its present condition. This wold necessitate the addition, as the existing home has only two bedrooms and one bathroom. Because of the location of the addition it would not effect any farmable land.
