Doyle found a number of stones in the form of a ring of about three foot in diameter. Near its center was a flat, pointed, rectangular stone set on end. This configuration of stones appeared to be in line with the remains of an old fence line running to the East and a similar fence line running to the South. No record was found as to whom may have marked the corner in such a manner. In as much as this configuration appeared to be in agreement with the existing occupation lines, the location of the flat stone was accepted as being the location of the corner and a Dane County Aluminum monument was set in its place.
