MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT COMMITTEE HELD ON May 24, 1990 The following members were present: Rendall, Jones, Harvey, Quackenbush and Krushcke. Also: Fleck and Reynolds. Meeting called to order by Vice Chair Harvey at 7:07 p.m. in Room 2E City-County Building as published by Class II Notice. Jones/Rendall to approve minutes of 4/26 and 5/22/90. Motion carried - 4-0. Kruschke, absent. Quackenbush/Rendall to decide each appeal after conclusion of testimony rather than hearing testimony of all appeals and deciding at the end of hearing. Motion carried - 4-0 Krushcke, absent. #1969. Appeal by the Cross Country Neighborhood Association from the interpretation of the Dane County Zoning Adminstrator to allow explansion of nonconforming mineral extraction in the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 and the NE 1/4 SW 1/4 - Section 9, Town of Verona. Appearances: R. Petershack, D. Gehl, K. Voll, J. Smart, A. Smart, B. Smart, R. Kaufmann, B. Schultz, R. Shea, William Fleck. Sign up sheet with 19 persons objecting to pit expansion. Quackenbush/Harvey to defer action until later on agenda. Motion carried - 5-0. #1970. Appeal by William Ecker, agent for Evan Acres for a variance from required sign setback from intersection as provided by Section 10.71(2) (a) & (b) to permit directory sign as located at Southeast corner USH 12-18 and Long Road in the E 1/2 NE 1/4 - Section 26, Town of Blooming Grove. IN FAVOR: W. Ecker OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: --- Rendall/Quackenbush to hold in abeyance until June Public Hearing to allow applicant to further investigate alteratives to variances. Motion carried - 5-0. #1971. Appeal by Dennis & Lennis Rooney for a variance from required setback from normal high watermark as provided by Section 11.03 (2) to permit viewing platform as constructed at 2337 Williams Point Drive being Lot #53, Williams Point Plat - Section 19, Town of Pleasant Springs. IN FAVOR: D. Rooney OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: D.N.R. Rendall/Harvey to grant with condition variance from setback to normal high watermark to permit stairs and platform to access lake.
