MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE DANE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> COMMITTEE HELD ON May 24, 1990 <br /> The following members were present: Rendall, Jones, Harvey, Quackenbush and <br /> Krushcke. <br /> Also: Fleck and Reynolds. <br /> Meeting called to order by Vice Chair Harvey at 7:07 p.m. in Room 2E <br /> City-County Building as published by Class II Notice. <br /> Jones/Rendall to approve minutes of 4/26 and 5/22/90. Motion carried - 4-0. <br /> Kruschke, absent. <br /> Quackenbush/Rendall to decide each appeal after conclusion of testimony rather <br /> than hearing testimony of all appeals and deciding at the end of hearing. <br /> Motion carried - 4-0 Krushcke, absent. <br /> #1969. Appeal by the Cross Country Neighborhood Association from the <br /> interpretation of the Dane County Zoning Adminstrator to allow explansion of <br /> nonconforming mineral extraction in the SE 1/4 NW 1/4 and the NE 1/4 SW 1/4 - <br /> Section 9, Town of Verona. <br /> Appearances: R. Petershack, D. Gehl, K. Voll, J. Smart, A. Smart, B. Smart, <br /> R. Kaufmann, B. Schultz, R. Shea, William Fleck. <br /> Sign up sheet with 19 persons objecting to pit expansion. <br /> Quackenbush/Harvey to defer action until later on agenda. Motion carried - <br /> 5-0. <br /> #1970. Appeal by William Ecker, agent for Evan Acres for a variance from <br /> required sign setback from intersection as provided by Section 10.71(2) (a) & <br /> (b) to permit directory sign as located at Southeast corner USH 12-18 and Long <br /> Road in the E 1/2 NE 1/4 - Section 26, Town of Blooming Grove. <br /> IN FAVOR: W. Ecker OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: --- <br /> Rendall/Quackenbush to hold in abeyance until June Public Hearing to allow <br /> applicant to further investigate alteratives to variances. Motion carried - <br /> 5-0. <br /> #1971. Appeal by Dennis & Lennis Rooney for a variance from required setback <br /> from normal high watermark as provided by Section 11.03 (2) to permit viewing <br /> platform as constructed at 2337 Williams Point Drive being Lot #53, Williams <br /> Point Plat - Section 19, Town of Pleasant Springs. <br /> IN FAVOR: D. Rooney OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: D.N.R. <br /> Rendall/Harvey to grant with condition variance from setback to normal high <br /> watermark to permit stairs and platform to access lake. <br />
