MINUTES OF THE TOWN OF MAZOMANIE
LAND PLANNING AND ZONING COMMITTEE
5-4-92
Present: Chairperson Fred Teitgen, Jim McSweeney, Sharon Royston
Dennis Schafer, Dan Viste
Others: Carl Goodwiler, D. Witter, Dorothy Dunlap Szudy, Jeanne
Rochon,Torr. Micie
Proof of posting was acknowledged
Minutes of the 4-27-92 meeting were approved as submitted
Carl Goodwiler zoning request:
A new survey on the driveway gradient was presented, containing
information that the average grade was 7 1/2 % coming off of Carl
Goodwilers driveway and that it was over 10 % coming from Dunlap
Hollow road. It was presented that an easement over Carl 's
driveway was the best scenario.
D. Witter stated that he will plant pine trees on the road side
of the driveway to shield the drive from roadside view.
Goodwiler and Witter did not bring in a lower building site
proposal off of Dunlap Hollow. They stated that they felt since
they got the OK from the committee on the hill site, that they
would just improve on the driveway problem. No new vote ensued
as a result.
Fred Teitgen stated that the hill site approval of last week was
contingent upon the following:
• a final site and driveway plan with gradients and to
scale
• an erosion control plan to follow during construction
and in the after construction landscaping phase
• the tree planting plan proposed by D. Witter
The committee also stated that the Town building inspector should
have the oversight to ensure compliance with the plans once
approved. Carl asked what the next step was: committee responded
as follows:
• File a zoning petition with the County
• Town will review the zoning petition at a Town Meeting
Carl Goodwiler agreed to contact the Town Clerk to be placed on
the next agenda.
A brief discussion of committee voting guidelines ensued with
agreement to discuss the issue further. The next meeting had
already been set for May 11, 1992 at 7 : 00 p.m. A motion and
second to adjourn finished the meeting.
Minutes prepared by Sharon Royston.
