May 4, 1992 <br /> Dane County Zoning Board <br /> Room 116 <br /> City-County Building <br /> Madison , WI 53709 <br /> To the Members of the Zoning Board: <br /> This letter is intended to explain our request for a boundary <br /> line change and rezoning for the land surrounding my home at 882 <br /> Hwy 14, Oregon , in Rutland Township. <br /> In 1978 my husband Ralph and I had the family home site separated <br /> from the farm. The land on which our home is situated was <br /> rezoned R-1 while the balance of the farm continued agricultural . <br /> This was done to make it easier for our daughter Jean to inherit <br /> the home. <br /> Proposed use of the property to be rezoned: <br /> Jean and her husband Mark will be buying the property this <br /> summer. They would like to erect a garage on the property, but <br /> there is insufficient space as it is currently laid out. As the <br /> attached drawing shows, we propose to increase the area to 1 . 19 <br /> acres. This will allow them to replace our aging garage and <br /> chicken coop with a modern structure. <br /> We would also like the property to be rezoned from R-1 to A2( 1 ) <br /> so that the garage can be bigger than the 50% of the home square <br /> footage that the regulations currently allow. Mark and Jean want <br /> to make a shop out of part of the garage. Without the change <br /> their garage and shop needs cannot be met. <br /> Time schedule for development: <br /> I will be moving to the Genesis V apartments in June.
