As stated during the meeting we are <br /> strongly in favor of the construction of a crosswind runway to provide greater use of the <br /> airport during varied wind conditions. <br /> The purpose of our meeting was to discuss the location of the runway end and threshold with <br /> respect to interstate highway 1-94. We pointed out at the meeting that there are plans to <br /> i_kAsi <br /> improve the truck weigh station facility and possibly 1-94 in the vicinity of the airport. <br /> During the meeting, you assured us that the runway threshold would be located so as to <br /> provide the necessary clearances over the existing and future 1-94 and the truck weigh i . „r ai <br /> \ <br /> , <br /> station. <br /> It was interesting to hear of the testing program you'll be doing with the DNR regarding the <br /> use of recycled tires in the new crosswind runway's pavement. We are looking forward to <br /> monitoring how it stands up over time. <br /> • <br /> In conclusion, we wish to once again express our support for the construction of your <br /> crosswind runway as it will improve the overall safety of the airport to the public using the <br /> facility.
