Appeal by Steven&Nancy Homme for a variance from required setback from <br /> road as provided by Section 10.17(3) to permit new deck addition to existing residence at <br /> 4740 Goodland Park Road in the SW 1/4 SW 1/4 Section 6, Town of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: S &N Home OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: <br /> Town Board <br /> SAYLES/KLOPP to grant variance of 18.84 feet from required setback to right-of-way <br /> of Goodland Park Road to allow entry deck as proposed. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant proposes to replace cement porch of identical dimension with new wood <br /> deck. <br /> 2). Section 10.16(4)(d) would allow similar deck of 12 feet in width without need for <br /> variance. <br /> 3). Structure needed a secondary emergency exits and deck must be wider than 12 feet to <br /> allow egress from both exits. <br /> 4). Structure is an old cheese factory converted to residential use. <br /> (ir Conclusion: <br /> 1). Variance preserves the zoning ordinance as much as possible without injustice to <br /> applicant. <br /> 2). Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public interest. <br /> Motion carried- 5-0. <br /> #3148. Appeal by Robert&Victoria Lovely for a variance from required setback from <br /> road as provided by Section 10.17(5)to permit garage addition to existing residence at <br /> 5276 Scenic Ridge Trail being Lot#24, Prestige Hills Section 29, Town of Springfield. <br /> IN FAVOR: R. Lovely OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: <br /> Town Board. <br /> KAY/SAYLES to deny requested variance from 30 foot minimum setback to right-of- <br /> way of Scenic Ridge Trail to permit garage expansion as proposed. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant proposes to expand existing 2 car garage into 3 stalls and relocate entrance. <br /> 2). Lot slopes toward residence and rain and snow accumulate in front of garage door. <br /> 3). Applicant has sufficient lot to add 3rd stall without encroaching into required <br /> sideyard. <br /> 4). Appears alternate design could accomplish desired storage and address run-off <br /> concerns. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> tor 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
