BOA 7/27/00 MINUTES <br /> PAGE 3 <br /> 1). Variance preserves the Zoning Ordinance as much as possible without injustice to <br /> applicant. <br /> 2). Variance is not contrary to rights of others or to the public interest. <br />( Motion carried- 5-0. <br /> #3097. Appeal by Scott Crews for a variance from required setback from road as <br /> provided by Section 10.17(3)to permit garage addition to existing residence at 1689 Nora <br /> Road in the NE 1/4 NE 1/4 Section 35, Town of Cottage Grove. <br /> IN FAVOR: S. Crews OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: Town <br /> Board <br /> LONG/SAYLES to deny requested variance of 8 feet from required setback to right-of- <br /> way of Nora Road to permit garage addition to residence as proposed. <br /> Finding of fact: <br /> 1). Applicant proposes to add a 26' x 30' garage to existing single family residence. <br /> 2) . Existing conforming 1 car garage was removed and plan is to add a 2-stall garage. <br /> 3). Property slopes moderately Northwest to Southeast. <br /> 4). Southside of residence would be logical place for septic replacement area potential <br /> for addition to Northside of residence. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1). Unnecessary hardship was not proven. <br /> Motion carried. 5-0. <br /> #3098. Appeal by Woodard Knox for a variance from maximum allowable lot coverage, <br /> sideyards, setback from normal high water mark and setback from road as provided by <br /> Sections 10.05(5), 11.03(1) and (2), and 10.17(2)to permit residential addition at 2288 <br /> County Highway AB being Lot#5, Block#1, Colladay Park,Section 23, Town of Dunn. <br /> IN FAVOR: W. Knox OPPOSED: K. Hoffman, K. Fry <br /> COMMUNICATION: Town Board, County Highway, Department of Natural <br /> Resources. <br /> ROSS/SAYLES to hold request in abeyance up to October Hearing pending further input <br /> as follows: <br /> 1). That complete site plan showing proposed and existing structures and locations, (to <br /> include roof overhangs and cantilevers, drainage plan, erosion plan and building <br /> elevations(all sides)be provided. <br /> 2). Plans be submitted to Town and neighbors(Hoffman&Fry) for review. <br /> 3).
