Forrand - (letter) , <br /> S .Lewis - (letter) communication: Town Board <br /> KAY/ROSS to deny requested variance from required setback <br /> from road to permit residence construction as proposed. <br /> Finding of Fact: <br /> 1) . Applicant has lot with foundation of former cottage and <br /> accessory building on it. <br /> 2) . Proposal is to utilize, as much s possible, non- <br /> conforming foundation with new dwelling and garage addition. <br /> 3) . Lot is 150 feet in depth, 66 feet wide at North end and <br /> 81 feet wide at south end. <br /> 4) . Existing foundation appears to need replacing or <br /> structural repairs to be usable. <br /> 5) . With minimal relocation of building site New residence <br /> may be in conformity with required setbacks and rearyard. <br /> Conclusion: <br /> 1) . unnecessary hardship was not proven. Motion carried <br /> 4-0 (Klopp, abstain) . <br /> #3035. Appeal by Coyle, Inc. for a variance from required <br /> number of parking stalls and minimum sideyard as provided by <br /> Section 10. 18 (5, ) 10. 14 (6) and 10. 11 (7) to permit addition <br /> to existing commercial building at 250 West Beltline Highway <br /> in the SW 1/4 NW 1/4 Section 36, Town of Madison. <br /> IN FAVOR: P. Coyle, M. Coyle OPPOSED: --- COMMUNICATION: <br /> Town Board, Town Police Department <br /> ROSS/LONG to grant variance of 2 . 33 feet from required right <br /> sideyard to permit warehouse addition as proposed. Motion <br /> carried 5-0. <br /> SAYLES/ROSS to grant, with condition, variance of 19 parking <br /> stalls from required number of stalls to permit warehouse <br /> addition. <br /> Condition: <br /> Variance approval is limited to existing carpet business <br /> only. Motion carried - 4-1 (Long, no) . <br /> Finding of Fact: <br /> 1) . Applicant proposes 11, 000 square feet carpet warehouse <br /> addition to existing commercial building. <br /> 2) . Sideyard variance continues existing building line <br /> which has previously been granted by Variance #1950 in <br /> February 1990. <br /> 3) . Ordinance, 10. 18 (5) (f) Dane County Code of Ordinances, <br /> requires one parking stall per each 800 square feet of <br /> occupied floor area. <br /> 4) . Only small percentage of structure is utilized as <br /> showroom and customer service area. <br /> traw 5) . Town of Madison Fire Department, Police Department, and <br /> Town Board are in support of variances . <br />
