The following is administered under s. 10.123(2)(b)(c) & 10.01 (23f) of <br /> the Dane County Code of Ordinances. <br /> The A-1 Ex. agriculture zoning district of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance provides <br /> that proposed residences meet the following criteria: <br /> (1) "The minimum area to establish or maintain a farm operation is 35 acres", <br /> (s.10.123 (5) (a)). <br /> (2) A"farm" is defined as"a tract of land utilized for the purpose of <br /> agricultural production, a tract of land devoted to the raising and breeding of <br /> domestic livestock, an area of water devoted to the raising and breeding of aquatic <br /> animals". (s.10.01 (230) <br /> (3) Substantial income must be derived from the farm operation. (s.10.123 (2)(b)). <br /> Substantial income for farm owners/operators is at least $500.00 in gross monthly <br /> averaged over a three(3)year period. Therefore annual gross farm income of <br /> $6000.00 is required or$ 18, 000.00 over a three year period. Income must be <br /> from activities included in the definition of the term"farm" as shown above. <br /> (4) Secondary farm residences which are occupied by a person or a family at least one <br /> member of which earns a substantial part of their income from farm operations on <br /> the farm. (s.10.123 (2)(c))In order to establish eligibility for a secondary <br /> residence, farm income of at least one occupant shall be a minimum of 20% of <br /> their total net income. <br /> Certification <br /> I hereby certify that I am a farm owner or operator who meets the above <br /> established criteria for a residence for a farm operator/owner. If this statement is <br /> found to be materially misrepresented, the permit may be declared null and void <br /> (s.10.25(2)(h),Dane County Code of Ordinances). <br /> I hereby certify that the occupant of the secondary faesidence on my property <br /> meets the criteria for a secondary farm residence. <br /> X Signed:�'rt.. <br /> Date: 9 V/97 <br /> Witness <br /> Zoning Permit No. <br />
