Our department uses
approximately 45 ,000 cubic yards of aggregate Annually for
-roadway improvements and . maintenance. That amounts to a
considerable investment.
Tax dollars , in one form or another, fund road construction and
maintenance. Unfortunately, inflation is making it more and
more difficult to provide the same level of service the public
. expects . Therefore, anything that reduces our operating costs ,
such as nearby mineral deposits , ultimately benefits the
taxpayer .
DANE CO ► Y HIGGHHW.Y AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT
'Fermi L.
