_.....,....„....,....„ <br /> r '', Dane County Planning & Development <br /> ' _..1 Zoning Division <br /> 't, eirFr% <br /> 1i ,y! <br /> t1' M <br /> 1,E — -- <br /> ZONING PERMIT INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> The Dane County Zoning Ordinance provides that two inspections shall be made by the Zoning Division. <br /> Instructions are as follows: <br /> 1. The permit card shall be posted on the premises before any earth disturbing activity is started. <br /> 2. The owner or agent shall have all lot corners visibly staked prior to requesting an inspection.The Zoning <br /> Inspector shall not be responsible for determining the location of lot lines. Please be advised that zoning — <br /> Inspections are made in reliance upon your correct identification of property boundaries and lot lines. <br /> 3. FIRST INSPECTION: <br /> a. Is a location survey required? No <br /> If yes,a first inspection phone call request is not required. Please arrange to have a copy of the survey <br /> delivered to our department prior to any construction above the foundation. <br /> i <br /> i <br /> b. If no,the owner or agent shall request the first inspection when the foundation or basement walls have <br /> been constructed. Footings only are not considered a foundation.The locational extent of the permitted structure <br /> must be identifiable at the time of the first inspection. Construction may continue only after an inspection has been <br /> requested. <br /> 4. SECOND INSPECTION: Shall be requested when the building is substantially completed. Interior trim, <br /> carpeting,painting,etc.,do not have to be finished prior to the inspection but, interior walls must be in place and <br /> the electrical, plumbing and heating services must be installed and operating. <br /> 5. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE:The zoning inspections are made to verify compliance with the regulations <br /> of the zoning ordinance.The Zoning Division, upon completion of both inspections will issue a certificate of <br /> compliance. <br /> To schedule an inspection, call 266-4266, Monday through Friday,8:00 AM-4:00 PM.
