Andros, Pamela
From: Tim Lindau <TLindau @nowlan.com>
Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 3:49 PM
To: Andros, Pamela; Lane, Roger
Cc: jonathanbjoinjb @gmail.com; Kris Bjoin; kathy @bjoinlimestone.com;
shaun @bjoinlimestone.com; Everson, Daniel
Subject: Update on Christiana Pit
Pam and Roger:
I wanted to take a quick moment and provide you with an update on our CUP and Reclamation permit
activities. We have been diligently working and what follows is a brief summary of what we are focused upon:
(1) Kathy Bjoin will be sending a letter to you shortly requesting that the application be placed in Bjoin's
name. She will submit a signed application with that letter.
(2) Jon Bjoin is working closely with Dan Everson to finalize our reclamation map.
(3) Kris Bjoin is in the process of updating the site map to address the requirements of 10.191(2)(d). We
should have that to you shortly.
(4) The department of transportation project ID nos.that Bjoin is currently working on are as follows (please
note that these numbers will be changed or added too as we progress forward):
a. State No. 1007-10-73 / 1007-10-79
b. State No. 1005-10-71 / 1005-10-72
c. State No. 1003-10-88/ 1005-10-84
(5) Item (f) in our original CUP application can be supplemented as follows:
a. We will limit blasting from 9 am to 4:30 pm on weekdays;
b. We cannot provide a legitimate or accurate projection on what nights or how many nights we will
be hauling out of the quarry. Bjoin's authority over this is limited and its entirely dependent upon
weather and project demands. However,we can tell you that there will be no hauling on Sunday
"--t* evenings and we can provide you with a projection of monthly approximations without
specific. We would love to provide more information and would be willing to be creative in how we
can satisfy the County's concerns.
(6) Item (j) in our original CUP application can be supplemented as follows:
a. At peak,there could be as many as 300 or more trucks that haul out of the pit;
b. At its low point,there could be as few as 4 trucks;
c. We estimate that we operate at peak no more than 40% of the time.
d. There is 1 portable crusher on site.
e. There are 3 loaders on site, but that could be adjusted based upon project demands.
Your other concerns should be addressed with the revised site plan,which again, should be provided to you in the
next few days. We appreciate your guidance and patience and please let me know if there is anything additional
that you need.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Attorney Timothy H. Lindau
Nowlan&Mouat LLP
100 S. Main St.
Janesville,WI 53547
Phone:(608) 755-8100
