The iron pipe was set by David Cheney <br /> in 1985 based on the survey map no. 856. The distances to the section corner north and west as shown on <br /> the survey check well. A 3/4" Iron Rebar was found 2.14 feet south of the iron pipe. In 2003 Kevin Radel <br /> notes on survey no. 2003-00701 that he found the 3/4" Iron rod at the center of section per the Cheney survey. <br /> However the Cheney survey notes a set pipe. No evidence of how the iron bar was set. The distance to the <br /> East 1/4 corner of Section 22 is approximately 10' short of the original government notes showing 2698' <br /> however all distances check relatively well with the section breakdown shown on the Cheney survey. The <br /> location of the 1" Iron Pipe was accepted as set per the Cheney survey.
