Dear Members of the Committee, <br /> We, Albert and Mary Ann Cook, write this letter to present <br /> information regarding our petition to rezone . We are purchasing <br /> a total of 39 acres exclusive of road right-of-way in the town of <br /> Cottage Grove, 3 . 9 of which we are requesting a zoning change from <br /> A-i exclusive to RH-1 . It is on this 3 . 9 acre parcel that we are <br /> proposing to build a single family home, specifically a two story <br /> colonial/salt box, approximately 2200 square feet with 4 bedrooms . <br /> We feel this would add to the value and quality of the area. The <br /> remaining 35 . 1 acres would remain A-1 exclusive for the purpose of <br /> personal agriculture/farming/gardening. The area we are rezoning <br /> and plan to build on is not considered prime farming area, thus, <br /> the natural landscape and ecology currently present will remain <br /> untouched. We would like to begin building our home upon approval <br /> of zoning.
