Yes. <br /> ANALYSIS; <br /> 5045 Separation of the existing hog-operation buildings from the farmland is <br /> permitted by the Farmland Preservation Law. The limit on the number of <br /> hogs which was specified by the Town addresses the concern of an <br /> over-intensive use. <br /> STAFF COMMENTS; <br /> R.P.C. - Petition 5045. This existing hog operation Is in an agricultural <br /> preservation area of the Town of Primrose. There are three hog <br /> buildings and a feed bin on-site. The applicant proposes to build a <br /> house on-site. The application indicates a maximum of 1500 hogs on- <br /> site at any one time. <br /> The nearest house Is the farmhouse near the Intersection of Primrose <br /> Center and Oak Grove Roads, plus one on the parcel to the north and one <br /> west of Primrose Center Road. The reason for the rezoning Is to create <br /> the 6.8 acre parcel and allow a house to be built, which appears <br /> reasonably consistent with plans. <br /> However, with the concentrated hog operation on the 6.8 acres parcel , <br /> the committee may want assurances on manure storage and disposal to <br /> mitigate potential future problems. <br /> E.H.D. - <br /> Co.
